Emotional Ground Handling Department

I like airports, as they usually are hives of restless energy.
The excitement of people heading distant places thrills me. It somehow charges my batteries with optimism and gives me reasons to constantly be day-dreaming: I too shall travel around the earth for work or pleasure and it will enrich my life experiences with more than words could ever describe.

The arrival of a dear one does not cause distress to me. I love that waiting. I simply do. It fills me up with joy and I quite get lost in other people’s happy reuniting moments. The reactions you can read on faces are priceless. Then follow the grand gestures of holding each other, heart warming vibes flow out of the embrace. At last, a glimpse of a familiar face brings silly grinning to one’s face.

flyaway daydream

Of course, being the designated driver to and from the airport for my family members always had its perks. However, I think these so-called favours were part of my growing up and becoming responsible. I’ve tested my punctuality, reactions to high-level stress and experienced more emotional fluctuations a harmoniser would ever have to stand. The final hugs and wishes of good fortune, they all took great deal of working with one’s self to master powerful emotions.

a farewell

Happy goodbyes take loads of practice.
How do you handle them?

Happy New Beginnings!

May you all have a Happy New Year! I wish you a better New Year with loads of wonderful experiences, fears overcome and inexhaustible curiosity.

All around the world people make plans for the new beginning, evaluate the failures of the past, promise to change their so called faults for the future. I dare you to do something else the next year, stop blaming and putting so much pressure on yourselves, I challenge you to simply be yourselves.

I had an amazingly fun time with my sister today. We were admiring and taking photos (of course) of this year’s last sunset. The magical setting was placed by an almost entirely frozen lake. Goofing around was never so joyous, as if the days would have all reached the very end.

Wish you could put my shoes on for one day, you’d see how amazing it is to have a sister and how the joy of being can actually spread the minute you are sharing it with someone else. We enjoyed every second of the last rays of sun of 2012. In laughter. Goofy approves of New Year’s Coming.

I wish you precious moments with dear people, keep them close to your hearts!
Here’s to being yourself, whatever that might mean to each and every one of you!

Merry Christmas, dear people!

Gifts were opened this morning and joyful smiles were put on by everyone.
I’m very grateful to be home, close to my family and happily celebrating Christmas in the traditional Romanian way: sharing memories, presents and a comfortably peaceful diner.

Oh, the joy of sisterly embrace! Such a magical moment. 🙂

Also, I am very happy to have met some of my friends from home. Although distance kept us apart, thank you for keeping me close to your heart. Updating now begins. Let the funny stories flow.

I’m off to London

PS. It started snowing this morning in Tallinn so I hope there will be no trouble with the flight. After the October surprise, of all the days the snow could come, it picked today. Amazing.
